The Back to School Brunch 2011- An original, fun fundraiser supporting innovation in Escondido Union School District schools...all 23 of them!
Thank you to all our generous guests, volunteers and donors for making this year's event our best ever. In particular, thanks to event co-chairs Paulette Donnellon and Debbie Guerian. Also, thanks are due to three very good sports, Police Chief Jim Maher, EUSD Superintendent Jennifer Walters, and Brunch-newcomer Fire Chief Mike Lowry. The audience bid high and frequently to ask them questions that were tough, funny or both in the "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader Game." The auction and opportunity drawings were very exciting with one lucky family winning an iPad and Juniper School winning a Toshiba Starboard Link Interactive White Board.
Proceeds from the Back to School Brunch 2011 benefit Innovative Classroom Projects, a creative partnership with EUSD teachers and the community.
The 2010 Brunch was a lot of fun.
