At the Escondido Education Foundation, two major annual events provide fun and dynamic ways to gather, explore what's new in the classrooms and the school district, and to support those programs that benefit students the most.

In between the Foundation's major events, each year we will experiment with smaller events, some of which are partnerships with other organizations. This fall, there are two!

October 23 is the City of Escondido's first-ever fundraiser. The Families on Foot walk/run in beautiful Kit Carson Park will raise funds, making it possible for diverse children to participate in important recreation opportunities. At the same time the City will give a portion of proceeds to EEF! So lace up those walking shoes and come on out. You can bring Fido (if he's on a leash) and some friends for some fresh air and some aerobic activity that will make you feel great!

November 20 is the day to kick off your holiday shopping at Barnes & Noble. On that day the Valley Parkway store will give a percentage of sales to EEF, and for the five days afterwards, your online purchases will also apply. EEF is bringing local authors to sign books and local heroes to read aloud. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information!
